In 1956, a Lockheed L-1049 from Trans World Airlines collided with a DC-7 from United Airlines, 21.000 feet above these cliffs, killing all 128 people onboard the two flights while spreading wreckage down the Grand Canyon.

It's a breathtaking graveyard, a holy place with layers of tragedies and overwhelming beauty. Tears and laughter, grief and rejoice - a church for the traveler's salvation in the middle of the earth.
